Direct from the Himalayas in India, Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training is available for the first time in Greenwich, London conveniently run over 13 weeks from June 2014 – April 2015. A holistic programme designed for aspiring yoga teachers and devoted students who wish to have a greater understanding of yoga and to deepen their practise.
Yoga can be practised by anyone, enhancing flexibility and releasing stress are as noble a purpose as the awakening of spirituality. Yoga nourishes us at every level of our being whilst contributing to our emotional and physical well being. Meditation is yoga and is not separate, asana practise is the journey towards meditation.
Spirituality is sometimes regarded as mysterious and unattainable, but according to Deepak Chopra, it is simply the expansion of happiness. Yoga is a path towards inner peace, stillness, better health and more meaning and purpose in your life. It is often in this new found stillness that you start to discover who you really are, and have more confidence in following your own intuitive wisdom.
There are many different types of yogic practises which include meditation, asana, pranayama and the study of the inner self. Anandi hopes to offer the yogic tradition as a whole to demonstrate the benefits of yoga through her classes, workshops and retreats.
